THE EMERGING LANDSCAPE OF THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS OF INNOVATION
The Galapagos Islands are the second largest marine reserve in the world, and the second largest volcanic archipelago that exists on earth, currently facing severe environmental problems related to plastic pollution, the growth of ocean levels, the change climate, invasive species, population growth in the archipelago, illegal fishing, among others.
It is proposed to design an artificial landscape in the Galapagos Islands and in the marine reserve area of the island, through biological architectural species, which allow bioremediation and symbiotic interrelation of endemic and invasive species with the territory from different scales of intervention. to improve the habitability conditions of the endemic species of the island.
