TUNDAMA MILL CULINARY AND CRAFTS CULTURE CENTER
In order to recover the social, historical and productive value of the Mill, the Tundama Mill Culinary and Craft Culture Center is designed, in order to establish a plan on the block of the mill that reunifies the sector and provides a new public space around of the old industrial complex, eliminating its old limits and integrating it into the design of public space. The rehabilitation of the main building of the Mill is proposed with activities related to the culinary, which includes a restaurant and some workshop spaces for cooking and crafts. In the other buildings belonging to the complex, a functional adaptation is carried out to provide new meeting spaces for the community; Exhibition spaces and an auditorium are generated that potentiate the cultural activities that currently take place in Culturama, as well as administration spaces (the old mill trade house).
The designed Public space recovers the two streams of water that had been hidden by the construction of the Mill, turning them into design axes that separate a play area designed for children, the area of the Tundama Mill and an area of crops that are connected to the turn the butts of the houses into commercial areas that potentiate the dynamics around the mill.
