PEROT MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE
As a modeling and visualization exercise, for this project the choice of a building greater than 9 levels with a degree of complexity in formal terms was requested to be completely modeled in Revit and rendered in the preferred tool.
"The Perot Museum of Nature and Science creates a distinctive identity for the new institution and enriches the urban environment of the emerging Victory Park cultural district. The overall volumetry of the building floats a cube of galleries above a thickened landscape containing classrooms, a theater and support spaces.Breaking the solid geometry of the museum's cube, a glass-encased 54-foot continuous-flow escalator moves patrons from the ground floor to a cantilevered platform offering expansive views of downtown Dallas.Visitors spiral down through the galleries and atrium space, continually returning to the city as a means of orientation and pause between exhibits."
